How do I book?
Put your pickup and destination in at the top of this page and tap Get a price. Check the fare, add your details and send it to me on WhatsApp. Rather call? 07438 714406. Nothing's booked or charged until I confirm in writing.
How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you know your flight or sailing. Times fill up, so the first booking for a time gets it.
What areas do you cover?
Pickups in Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport, Eastleigh, Southampton, Havant, Waterlooville and Petersfield, with fixed fares to Southampton Airport, every Southampton cruise terminal, Portsmouth International Port, Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted and London City. Any other journey, I quote before you book.
Are you licensed, checked and insured?
Yes. Portsmouth City Council licenses me as a private hire operator and as a driver, and the car is council-licensed too. To get my driver licence I passed a knowledge test of the area, an English test and a driving assessment, and I'm enhanced DBS checked, rechecked every six months. The council renews it every year: this year with a clean driving record and a negative drug screen. I hold £5m public liability insurance. Ask and I'll give you my licence number.
Can the price change after I book?
No. Once I confirm your fare in writing, it doesn't go up for traffic, time of day, demand or a delayed flight. If an airport charges for drop-off or pickup, I pass it on at cost and tell you the amount when I quote. Every other extra is listed with the price list.
How do I pay, and is there a deposit?
No deposit under £30. From £30, a deposit by secure payment link or bank transfer once I confirm, and the rest on the day by card, cash, Monzo or bank transfer. There's no booking fee. Booking both ways: both journeys are paid at the start of the outbound journey.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel more than 24 hours before your pickup time and you get a full refund. With less notice, the deposit is kept. If you're not at the pickup and I can't reach you, the full fare is charged.
What if my flight is delayed or lands early?
Add your flight number and I'll check it before your pickup, so your driver is there when you actually land. Waiting is free for 45 minutes from landing, then £11 per 15 minutes. Other pickups, ships included: 15 minutes free from the booked time.
How many people and bags fit?
Up to four passengers, children included: the car is licensed for four. I've tested the boot with every seat up: two large cases (about 72 cm), a medium one (about 63 cm) and a holdall. More? I'll tell you honestly if it fits.
Do I need to bring a child car seat?
Not by law. In a licensed private hire car like mine, children can travel without a child seat on any journey, short or long, as long as they sit in the back: children aged 3 and over wear the adult seat belt, and under 3s can travel without one. That doesn't mean on your lap: the law allows one person in each seat with a seat belt, so a baby has their own seat, and two people never share a belt. I don't supply child seats, so for babies and long journeys I'd recommend bringing your own. You're welcome to fit it in the back. Please take your child seat with you when you get out; I can't keep or store seats in the car, whatever their size.

Who needs to wear a seat belt?
Every passenger, front and back, one person to each seat. Children need the right child seat until they're 12 or 135 cm tall, whichever comes first. In a licensed private hire car like mine they can travel without one in the back: from age 3 with the adult seat belt, and under 3s without a belt. The front seat has no such exception: there, a child needs the right child seat until they're 12 or 135 cm tall. The law makes me responsible for every passenger under 14. From 14, your belt is down to you, and not wearing one can mean a fine of up to £500.
Do you have child seats, and can I bring a pet?
I don't supply child seats. None is needed by law if children sit in the back, but you can bring your own. Pets are welcome if they fit on the floor behind the front seats. Assistance dogs of any size always travel free, and I never ask for proof.
